Welcome to Supporting Our Survivors,  where we stand with survivors of human trafficking and work tirelessly to bring justice to the victims. Every year, we host our annual golf tournament to raise vital funds that directly support the Human Exploitation and Trafficking (HEAT) Team, a regional unit made up from the Washoe County Sheriff's Office, the Sparks Police Department, and the Reno Police Department Sex Trafficking Unit, who work together rescuing victims of sex trafficking right here in Reno.
This courageous team is on the frontlines, dedicated to identifying and prosecuting sex traffickers and safeguarding victims from the devastating crime of human trafficking.
The funds raised through our tournament enable the HEAT Team to continue their crucial work investigating trafficking networks, rescuing survivors, and providing the resources needed for their rehabilitation. Your donations go directly toward supporting these operations and the survivors they recover, helping fund victim advocacy, emergency resources, and the long road to rebuilding a life free from exploitation. With your support, we are able to make a lasting impact, helping victims rebuild their lives and ensuring that those who exploit others face justice.

Our region is growing fast — and that growth brings risk. Northern Nevada added more than 90,000 new residents since 2013, with another 61,500 expected by 2033. Washoe County is now home to roughly 500,000 people, and Reno-Tahoe drew nearly 3.9 million visitors in 2025 alone with the Reno-Tahoe International Airport logging its busiest year since 2008. More people, more visitors, more transient population, and more than $15 billion in new development mean more opportunity for predators to hide in plain sight. As Northern Nevada grows, so does its exposure and Washoe County continues to be a growing hotspot for sex trafficking, particularly of our children. On any given night, girls as young as 11 years old are being sold for sex on our streets.
