Dear Business Owners and Golfers, Human and Sex Trafficking is one of the fastest growing crimes in our country. Each year, Washoe County and the surrounding area is a growing hotspot for sex trafficking, particularly of our children. On any given night, girls as young as 11 years old are being sold for sex on our streets. S.O.S. is a local non-profit organization designated for the sole purpose of raising funds for the protection of victims/survivors of Human and Sex Trafficking. In 2013, Catherine Cortez Masto, our current U.S. Senator, spearheaded legislation which defined Sex Trafficking as a crime, increased penalties for perpetrators and enhanced law enforcement tools for prosecutors. Since the passage of this legislation, it has been our priority to raise money for the victims/survivors of Human and Sex Trafficking in Northern Nevada. On May 16, 2024, in association with the Nevada Office of Attorney General, S.O.S. will be hosting its’ 3rd annual Golf Tournament at Lakeridge Golf Course, Reno Nevada.
